Market Desk (sports): The India-Pakistan clash at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia next month has its tickets sold out. The match is set to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
The ICC said that even the additional standing room tickets were snapped up within minutes of going on sale. A total of 16 teams will take part, will start on October 16 and conclude with a final on November 13 at the MCG.
This would be the first ICC event since 2020 with full stadiums. A key reason for this enthusiasm for purchasing tickets, is the accessible pricing for families that has seen over 85,000 children’s tickets sold. Tickets for kids are priced at just $5 for all First Round and Super 12 matches while those for adults start from $20.
The ICC said many other matches too have been sold out that will kick off with qualifiers from October 16.
