IPL 2021 to resume in UAE, Shakib and Mustafiz’s to leave

Market Desk (Bangladesh): The remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which was suspended in May due to pandemic, will be resumed from 19th September in UAE.

World class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Mustafizur Rahman is expected to leave Dhaka to take part in IPL.

Shakib’s Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 20th September in their first match in Abu Dhabi while Mustafiz’s Rajasthan Royals will start the tournament taking on Punjab Kings a day later in Dubai.

Shakib Al Hasan couldn’t repeat his form in the recently concluded New Zealand series as he could only make 45 runs and take four wickets in four games of the five-match T20I series.

Mustafiz, series record against Australia bagging seven wickets in five-matches was more sparkling against the Kiwis as he scalped eight Black Caps wickets from four games.

According to feature, Sharjah will host its first game on 24th September where Bangalore will be faced against Chennai.

Dubai will also host the final, which is due to be played on 15th October accordingly.
