The result leaves Germany facing a must-win match against Costa Rica in a 4 days’ time and also means Spain have yet to book their spot in the knockout phase of the tournament.

Spain’s next match is against Japan at Khalifa International Stadium, while Germany returns to Al Bayt Stadium to face Costa Rica.
